Sineco joined Exchange Cohort X last year, becoming part of a growing group of founders developing ambitious ideas from our Campfield workspace.
Founded by Ben, Sineco is an AI music company exploring how sound can be used to optimise flow state. By using data from wearables and environmental inputs, Sineco creates adaptive music that responds in real time to the user, supporting focus, performance and wellbeing.
At the heart of Sineco is the belief that music should evolve with you. Traditional playlists are static, but Sineco’s platform uses biometric data such as heart rate, movement and context to generate original music that adapts as your state changes.
The more the platform is used, the more it learns. Over time, Sineco becomes increasingly personalised, responding to how you move, focus, calm down or push performance. The result is a more immersive and intentional relationship with sound, whether you’re training, working, or winding down.
Ben first heard about Exchange through the Campfield community and was drawn to both the programme and the workspace itself. For an early-stage business, having weekly sessions focused on operations, tech build-out and marketing has helped bring clarity to the practical side of building a company.
Being based at Campfield has also made collaboration easier. Access to the workspace means Sineco can meet other founders face to face, share challenges openly and work through problems together rather than in isolation.
One of the biggest takeaways for Ben has been the importance of speaking to other people and leaning into community. Running a business can be isolating, especially in the early stages, and having a network of founders who are going through similar challenges has made it easier to sense-check ideas, discuss pain points and move forward with confidence.
Manchester’s growing startup ecosystem has played a big role in that, making it easier to find the right people and build meaningful connections.
Looking ahead to 2026, Sineco’s focus is on further product development, raising investment and taking the platform to market. With clear plans for launch and ambitious growth targets, the next phase is about turning a strong concept into a scalable product.
Sineco’s journey through Exchange is a great example of how early-stage founders can use the combination of programme support and workspace community at Campfield to build, test and grow bold ideas with intention.
