Since opening in February 2023, Department Leeds Dock’s community has gone from strength to strength. Over 95% of the workspace suites are now fully occupied with creative, tech, digital and media businesses. From tech start-ups within the Exchange programme, to established creative agencies including the likes of Bobble Digital, We Love This Ltd and Finn Communications. Department has provided a workspace haven to one and all.
Members such as Retail Insight have since scaled their workspace within Department; made possible by Department’s flexible approach to working which allows businesses to adapt and expand their space according to their individual needs. Beyond the workspace requirements, businesses have access to the signature wellness and social inventory that makes for a fulfilling space to work.

Each month, Department’s community team deliver an events program to make for an engaging experience for businesses and individuals alike. From bake sales to mortgage advice workshops to leadership coaching – the building has never been so active.
It’s still possible to join Department’s community. Plans have been drawn for The Loft, a new floor on Level 2 comprising of creative workspace, private studios, cinema screening room and event space. The largest space available on this floor will be a 50 desk private suite, complete with its own internal meeting rooms and breakout space.
The Loft will allow even more room for hot desk memberships and a number of content creation studios, which can be bookable by the hour, half day or full day. The Loft is available to move in spring 2024, with tours starting from now.
